My first foray into film as filmmaking rather than acting was with a few friends whom I had met on a film set doing the nameless, faceless background extra work that all actors end up doing some way or another.   We decided to write our own thing and produce a commercial spec for a soft drink company, bought a camera, tapped a few film-experienced friends on the shoulder for help and advice, and dove right in.

That venture ended up growing and growing until across Atlanta, almost twenty people became involved in the early brainstorming stages of what exists today as Ayce Group, an independent film production company.   Since then, it has definitely been due to the growing film community in Atlanta that I have been able to get what skills and experience so far I've been able to develop behind the scenes.  It's been an amazing creative experience that combines visual creativity with music, with story, with character---if any opportunity arises for you to be able to experience it firsthand, check it out and see why so many people still refer to filmmaking as one of the ultimate syntheses of art.

Ayce Group, Inc. officially closed its doors in 2009. Thanks to everyone who had ever participated with us, through the fun, sleep-deprived, days and nights we all spent in the dimly lit corners of Atlanta side streets. Despite the ups and downs faced with any small company, those we were lucky enough to work with really made an impact in our creative lives and to this day, the majority of them are still out here, on both sides of the celluloid, continuing to re-invent the world. Thanks for an amazing 5 year run!

The Ayce Group, Inc. website is still archived here.
